Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-09-21. This policy describes how this website handles information.

1. Summary

The converter runs entirely in your browser, with no runtime third-party requests. The Markdown you type, paste or load from a file is processed locally in the page and is never transmitted to this site's operator or to any third party. There is no server-side application, no database, and no account system.

2. Content you enter

Text entered in the editor, files you open through the “Load Markdown file” control, generated previews, clipboard payloads and downloaded files exist only in your browser's memory and on your own device. They are not uploaded, logged or retained by this site. Closing or reloading the tab discards them.

3. Information collected automatically

This site itself sets no analytics and no tracking scripts. Whoever hosts the static files (for example Netlify, Cloudflare Pages or GitHub Pages) may keep standard server access logs containing IP address, user agent and requested URL for security and operational purposes; those logs are controlled by the host, not by this page's JavaScript.

4. Cookies and local storage

The converter does not require cookies and does not write your content to localStorage. If a cookie-consent mechanism or advertising is enabled by the publisher, those components may set cookies or similar identifiers; see the Cookie Policy.

5. Advertising and AdSense

Advertising is not currently active on this site. The layout contains clearly labelled placeholder ad slots. If the publisher activates Google AdSense, the Google ad script will be loaded, Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure ads, and the sections below become operative. Google's use of advertising cookies is described in Google's advertising policy; you can review and adjust personalization at My Ad Center.

6. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

If personalized advertising is enabled for visitors in these regions, the publisher must obtain valid consent before advertising cookies or identifiers are set, using a Google-certified Consent Management Platform that implements the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework, as required by Google's EU user consent policy. This build ships with no consent banner — the mechanism is deliberately not stubbed with fake functionality. Until a real CMP is installed, the publisher should either not serve personalized ads in those regions or not serve ads there at all.

7. Third-party services

  • Static host — serves index.html; see section 3.
  • Google AdSense — only if and when the publisher activates it; see section 5.

The Markdown parser (marked 12.0.2) and the HTML sanitizer (DOMPurify 3.1.6) are inlined in the page itself, so no content delivery network or other third party is contacted while you use the converter.

8. Children

This tool is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

9. Your choices

  • Use browser settings or an extension to block third-party cookies and scripts.
  • Opt out of personalized advertising through Google My Ad Center or your device's ad settings.
  • Because no personal data is collected by the page itself, there is generally no stored data for the operator to access, correct or delete; requests about host logs or advertising data should be directed to the relevant provider or to the contact address below.

10. Changes

Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this policy.
